I’ve been a fan for more than a few years now so it’s not like I just looked at his picture one day, or watched one of his movies and went, “I really love that guy!”

I was watching a movie with my father called “October Sky” (1999) which we both agreeably loved. Jake Gyllenhaal was of course the main actor and I loved the role he played, and how he played it.

A few years later, “Bubble Boy” (2001) came into theatre’s and since my friends and I all just graduated from high school that year, we stumbled upon the movie one night and was laughing so hard we almost had tears in our eyes. Spending time with my friends like that and the fun we had over that movie night, are memories I will never forget. So needless to say, Jake Gyllenhaal does have a special place in my fan girl thoughts for always.

His next movie “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” comes out in 2010, but you might recognize him notably from his role in “The Day After Tomorrow” and “Brokeback Mountain”

Happy Birthday Jake Gyllenhaal!

Listen: What decade does most of your favorite music come from?

I was born in 1983 and I actually like a lot of the music that came out the decade I was born. Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” was the #1 song on the charts the day I was born. Then in around the 1990’s I fell in love with the first original boy band, New Kids on the Block. I was also really into Debbie Gibson and Ace of Base. Those were some fun times, being young, having fun singing and and not worrying about all the grown-up, adult things that I worry about now. All the music was just fun and carefree.

Watch: Do you prefer to watch new movies at the theater or at home–or does it just depend on the movie?

I definitely prefer to watch movies at home. It’s just getting to the point where the movie theaters are overrun with loud, obnoxious kids that want to scream and yell throughout the entire movie. Not to mention, it’s too expensive to go out and see movies now-a-days. It’s $9 alone for one movie

Read: What’s the most bizarre book you’ve ever read?

War of the Worlds. I was in high school and I honestly could not concentrate long enough to understand the book. This was also before the “War of the Worlds” movie with Tom Cruise came out, so I didn’t really have anything but Cliff Notes and the book to help me understand the meaning of the story.

Participate In The Wednesday Media Mix Meme

A meme (pronounced /miːm/) consists of any idea or behavior that can pass from one person to another by learning or imitation. Examples include thoughts, ideas, theories, gestures, practices, fashions, habits, songs, and dances. Memes propagate themselves and can move through the cultural sociosphere in a manner similar to the contagious behavior of a virus.

Jingle Ball Updates … Philly Tonight!!!

Holaaaa. It’s me again with another blog. This week has been way busy with Radio Station shows. It’s actually kinda hard to keep track of all that happened. Sunday we had a show for an awesome crowd in Houston for the station KRBE, and then on Monday we went to Toronto, Canada! It was great going back to Toronto, and we ate at a Southern Italian restaurant there. I’ve never had *Southern* Italian food, but it was delicious. I then did a performance Tuesday for CHUM FM of Crush where I accompanied myself on piano. It was actually the first time I had ever done that for an audience haha, so it was exciting. And thanks everyone for coming to the shows! It’s so great to see the signs and familiar faces. I wasn’t sure how the performance in Canada would go, but it was just awesome to see the turn out. That same day we went to Buffalo for a performance for their station’s Kissmas Bash, and oh my heck there were so many people! The crowd was sold out of over like 15,000 people and they were insane!! It was so much fun haha. The day after that we went to Albany for the Fly 92.5 Radio show, and this one was really different from the rest. For their show they had a more intimate setting in a club, and it was just Ten Year Vamp, Gavin Degraw, and me. It was the first time I had done anything like it before and wow! It was just awesome! My ears were ringing after we were done, and it was sooo hot I was drenched in sweat lol. But it was just fun. I loved having the audience so close. And let me just say really quick that Gavin Degraw is wicked cool. I met him first at the Houston show, and then we had this one together. I love his style of music and singing and he’s a great guy. Next stop was Kiss 108 Boston, and Natasha Bedingfield performed at this one! It was awesome (as always) to see her again, and I just thought it was really cool to be able to perform at the same show as her.

So along comes Friday… dun dun dun.. haha… For the big Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. This was a really intense one, and I was pretty dang jittery throughout the day. Z100 Jingle Ball is a big big deal, and I couldn’t believe I was one of the acts. I don’t think I can explain (not like me being unable to explain something is anything new) how intimidating and nerve wracking it was to be sandwiched between Kanye West and Chris Brown in the lineup, and being 2nd to last lol. but hijole!! Coming after Kanye just felt so wrong for me to do, but man I had a blast! Never thought in a million billion kajillion years I’d be performing at Madison Square Garden with Brandy, Leona Lewis, right after Kanye West (even though I felt like a loser going after someone as amazing as that lol) and then Chris Brown and Rihanna. It was just sooo amazing!! The other really cool thing was that Z100 was the first station to play and debut Crush. Man it’s just such a cool thing to be able to to have done. And now looking back on it.. just wow.. But thanks you guys for coming to the shows! The energy everyone brings to the arena really helps us performers step up our game, and really have a great time up there. We have Philly coming up tonight, with Chicago and Minneapolis following after that. So for those of you coming to those shows, I hope you have a great time and thanks for coming! The party after the show was at a bowling alley, so it was fun to go and do that even though I was DEAD tired. my body was just aching since we had so much press and things to do all that day. It was fun to meet so many people though. Bruce Springsteen was at the show with his daughter and her friends, and it was definitely an honor to meet him. At the bowling alley I got to meet a fellow Jive Artist, Lesley Roy. one of her songs called “I’m Gone, I’m Going” is one of my most listened to songs on iTunes haha, and it was great to finally talk to her. She’s from Ireland, so her accent reminded me of my buddy Carly Smithson. It also reminded me of how much I miss Carly :(. I’d text Carly right now if my phone wasn’t still missing. But anyway… haha. Lesley’s a really cool gal.

Ok wrapping up here, I got a day off today! The band and I went to the Museum of Natural History in New York City. I loved it! It’s fascinating to see the kinds of things that are in museums. I took a few pictures, so I’ll try to load some up. They have tons of different exhibits and things to look at in there. I had a really good time.

Last thing I wanted to mention is that the Video for A Little Too Not Over You is going to be premiering next week on Yahoo Music! A lot of work goes into making videos so I hope you guys like it!! Sorry I can’t ever make these short but I’m done now. So I’ll talk to you guys later. Peace

Song for the day: A Baby Changes Everything - Faith Hill.
This song is for the Holiday Seasons since it’s off of her new Christmas album. It’s a beautiful song and she has such a great voice.

David Archuleta and Lady Gaga meet backstage at New York radio station Z100’s Jingle Ball concert last Friday night.

How ackward does this meeting start out? At first Lady Gaga sounds drunk, then she starts talking about meat and sandwiches and David Archuleta is either genuinly intrigued by the story or just smiling and going along with it. He’s so sweet though, he’s probably genuinly interested, any normal person would be like, “Wench, who gives a crap!”

I think that clumsy, shy, smiling type like David Archuleta, you cannot hate the guy. If I ever were in Lady Gaga’s situation, meeting David Archuleta like that, it would just result in me squeezing that cute little head of his until it popped like a pimple.

Many, many congratulations to Taylor Hanson and wife on baby #4, a son, named Viggo Moriah, who was born on Tuesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to PEOPLE.

“Viggo is doing great. He is the perfect early Christmas gift,” the couple says of their 8 lb., 5 oz. arrival. “We look forward to being home to enjoy the holidays with him and his very excited brothers and sister.”

Viggo joins older brothers Ezra, 6, and River, 2, and sister Penelope, 3. The growing Hanson family also includes their cousins, Isaac and Zac’s kids, Everett, 1, Shepherd, 6 months, and Monroe, 5 months.

Those good looking Hanson guys definitly know how to produce em’. Rightfully so! When I was 15, I would have loved to live in a city surrounded by Hanson, Hanson offspring and Hanson look-a-likes.

Michael John’s new Christmas song, “Another Christmas” is available today on iTunes for download. Proceeds will benefit the fight against Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) and the American Red Cross.

“There’s so many songs written about how everyone’s gonna be home and around the fireplace and everything else and there’s so many situations where families are apart for whatever reason,” Michael recently told AccessHollywood.com. “For the Red Cross thing, it’s troops overseas and for the ALS thing, you can [have] people in a hospital, just sitting there. It’s just so sad.”

Access Hollywood reported, Nancy O’Dell lost her mother to Lou Gehrig’s Disease and that’s when Michael Johns proposed that half the portions be donated to help fight that disease.

Michael John’s is also getting ready to start working on his first solo album, supposedly set to be released in 2009.

“I’ve written songs on it solely myself, I’ve co-written songs on it and there’s a couple of songs that have come in from other writers,” he explained. “I’m just kind of at that stage in my career where if it’s a good song, I don’t care where it comes from. I love writing songs, I love collaborating, but Diane Warren, for instance, wrote a song and she said, ‘I think you’d be perfect for this song.’ And I was like, ‘Wow!’ The lyrics really spoke to me, and the melody, and I’m probably going to add it to my record.”

I do not care what anyone thinks! I always have been a fan of Clay Aiken and I’m so happy that he is doing something that he loves in life. Many critisize him for being gay and raising a child, but there are people out there that are not gay and do not love their children at all, I heard on the news one day that this lady put her baby in a microwave. So I think as long as Clay Aiken is not trying to cook his baby for dinner, he’s a fit father! Gay or straight!
