I’m still hoping I wake up in the morning and this New Kids on the Block music video is a joke and maybe the alcohol is getting to me…
Maybe it’s the video quality, but you can barely see them, I couldn’t even tell which guy was which, and what’s with the mid evil theme? Don’t get me wrong, I love them either way…but the lyrics of the song song “She’s like Baby, I’m like Swaze” they could of least gone with a….I don’t know, “Dirty Dancing” theme?
I can finally post about my experience with meeting the guys from New Kids on the Block from a week and a half ago (November 11). Before I get asked, like every single woman will now say…YES I totally fulfilled a 10 year old little girl dream of mine by meeting them. I was 10 when I was into them and I guess I was too young to do the concert thing, so flying to Kansas City for the first time (from Ohio none-the-less!) and overspending the last of my money that should have gone towards college tuition, was used for a 5 Star VIP package to meet them.
Not to mention out of all the celebrities I’ve met, this was probably the most personable meet and greet I’ve ever done. No lie!
If you don’t want to read my entire experience, to sum up my backstage experience in the words of my NKOTB comrade, Susie:
They took us backstage, liquored us up for free, then lead us into a small room to molest…I mean meet the guys of New Kids on the Block.

This is probably old news to most of the dedicated fans. But I happened to stumble upon the New Kids on the Block official site a few days ago and read this post that Jonathan Knight posted:

I saw a post about my bus driving down the wrong side of the expressway. Yes, this did happen, and I am not happy about it. I was in the front seat sh***ng my pants. Every night leaving our shows people like you who posted are going to kill us or yourselves!!!!! You need to stop driving up on our buses like you do. You are dealing with 22 tons of steel that cannot stop or change lanes on a dime. Half the time you are hanging out your windows and flashing your camera flashes into our drivers eyes, paying no attention to what you are doing! You caused my driver to become so disorientated that night. A certain few of you need to chill out and be more responsible adults! What are you trying to gain by doing this. Do you think we are going to pull over and say hi? Do you think you are going to follow us to our hotel? 99% of the time we are heading on to the next city several hours away! Please pull it together. I don’t want to die in some stupid accident. I appreciate you coming to the shows, don’t get me wrong. I just had to address this post because it is real and not some cute fantasy! Please spread the word to everyone. This is a serious matter. As an adult I am going to keep it real with you. If you’re acting stupid I will flat out tell you to your face, “you’re being stupid”.
So, in this instance, A VERY SMALL FEW OF YOU ARE BEING STUPID!!!!!!!!!

For a supposedly “shy” guy like Jon, I love it when he comes out and tells it how it is.
What the Jorge is wrong with people? Your not a real fan…or human being for that matter if you dedicate your life to driving down the highway following their bus. I can probably almost guarantee it’s a total turn off to them, and any normal man you may want in your pathetic futures. If you are crazy enough to stalk their tour bus like that, you obviously havn’t gotten laid in a very long time, try it…it might do wonders for your abnormal hormones. We actually want these guys to come back for another tour so don’t ruin it for the rest of us. MORONS!

I tend to write in the weirdest places huh. I’m in a bunk on our bus. Were heading to Grand Prairie Canada. I’m a little beat, because we’ve been on tour for almost a year now. It’s getting a little chilly outside and we are all trying to stay away from the cold bug. lol It’s been amazing to see how many people still believe in what we do. There’s been so much support its awesome. It feels like we’ve been doing our own crazy campaign like Obama for almost a year, going around reminding people that we still are here.( Speaking of him.) seeing him win makes me feel that there is still good left in this world. I’m very happy. It also makes me think that with hard work, dedication and belief, anything can happen. And the same goes for us, as a group and as an individual . Yes we can change. And that is exactly what we are setting course to do. We are going to change alot, The way our past records have sounded. The way were perceived . And just our message overall . I thank all of you in your strength too. You are some tough cookies. Its not that COOL to be a BSB or Nick Carter fan at times. But i promise you this. Were working to CHANGE all that. You know? With mistakes comes lessons. With lessons comes learning. And with learning comes teaching. I’d rather be the solution then the problem. I’d rather be a teacher of good than the teacher of bad. It’s been a long tough road for us at times, ( Even AMERICA) But i believe what defines a true champion is endurance. When you fall , pick yourself off the ground and at the least , FINISH THE RACE. You’ve heard this ” Its not how you start , it’s how you finish”. That’s what we believe so should you. I’m very excited about everything we are about to do. It looks like Lou Pearlman loved boybands as much as I did! *vomits in mouth a little bit* ACK!
Shamed former boyband svengali Lou Pearlman has denied allegations he made inappropriate advances towards his teenage proteges in a new tell-all book exposing his past as a pop impresario.
The music mogul - the mastermind behind successful boybands Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync - is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted of fraud earlier this year (08).
And in the new tome, entitled The Hit Charade, author Tyler Gray interviews Pearlman’s former charges, including ex-boyband member Tim Christofore, who was just 13-years-old when he was chosen to be part of defunct group Take 5.
He tells Gray, “(Lou) would let us watch porn… Most of his artists knew the deal they had with the devil. It involved them being sex symbols as well as artists.

I’m not as hardcore as Jason Castro’s “dreadheads” I ran into at all the American Idol shows over the Summer, but I am a fan of Jason Castro.
He has a show coming up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he will be appearing with a band called To Have Hero’s.
